I like Aerosmith as a band and owned this album on cassette circa 1992. I remember I loved it back then so, when I started collecting vinyl, this was a no brainer for me to dig out. No magic story of how I found it in a bin somewhere. This was on my Wishlist as soon as I put it together and committed to collecting records.
Side one is amazing with Rag Doll being a personal fave. This is the album that just sounds like Aerosmith all the way through and lends itself to being on any soundtrack out there. Whilst the first side is excellent it kind of builds, leading you to…….
Side two which features Angel. I challenge anyone not to love this song. It is powerful, full of emotion and a catchy hook. The rest of the tracks are good but the remainder of this side feels like the wind down, which is needed to bring you back from the heights you get lifted to.
Album opinion: Just buy it. This record should be owned by any record collector. Even if you do not like it then your guests will. This is a rare thing for. me to say with music being so personal but this one is different. Think of it as being to rock as what Fleetwood Mac – Rumours is to your collection.
Overall this record is excellent and very much a planned purchase.
Conclusion – a fantastic addition to the library
